Weddings
The Shellfish Pig loves a good wedding!We’ve got your wedding food covered! Your guests can come up to our outdoor kitchen and collect their food direct from our chefs, or we can prepare vibrant platters and bowls ready to be served to the tables.
We also like nothing more than creeping in mid-evening and surprising wedding guests with some late night smoked pulled pork rolls and crackling served fresh from the van, or providing more lavish shellfish platters as canapés or afternoon snacks!
Whatever your needs, we can do any or all of the following…
- Canapés and full drinks receptions
- Main meal for your wedding breakfast, including starters and desserts
- Grazing boards and evening food to fuel the evening party
- Brunch for the morning after
- Breakfast for before the wedding
Cost
We charge a hire fee of £700 and then a price per person based on the food you would like us to bring along.
The hire fee is payable as a non-refundable deposit to secure the booking, and the remaining balance for the food is due at least 14 days before your wedding date.
There may be an additional charge for fuel & travel if your wedding venue is further than 25 miles from Penryn. We can also look at reducing the hire fee for smaller, more intimate weddings.
What’s included?
We can serve your guests straight from our street food kitchen (just like a festival). If you’d like food served directly to your guests at the tables, you’ll need your own serving staff. We often team up with Serve HQ and highly recommend them.
Costs include platters for our food and if necessary, street-food-style boxes, trays and eco cutlery. If you want to have real crockery and cutlery, or specific platters and bowls for feast-style eating, you’ll need to hire or provide these yourselves. (We recommend Abbots Hire, and are always happy to help you get this sorted).
We try to be flexible, so if you have a style of service or delivery in mind then feel free to let us know and we can discuss it!

Mini Scallipops
Falmouth Bay scallop & local cured chorizo sausage in lime, honey & fennel glaze. Seared & served on a wooden skewer. Like a lollipop, but better. Our most popular canape.
Bruschetta
Garlic & basil brushed artisan bread and topped with:
Fresh white Cornish crab meat in our light citrus mayo.
Slow roasted heritage tomatoes & sweet peppers, balsamic glaze & basil.
Our delicious smoked Cornish mackerel pâté .
Sushi Canapes
Rolled fresh, with soy sauce, wasabi and pickled ginger:

Slow-cooked smoked Primrose Herd pork shoulder cooked in our Cornish Rattler & maple glaze. Served in a Baker Tom brioche roll with smoked cheese, sweet pickles & spicy crackling.
Spicy Crab Tacos
Fresh white Cornish crab meat, roasted jalapeno, mixed peppers & fresh lime served in soft corn tortillas, alongside our heritage tomato salsa, guacamole, soured cream & citrus pickled onions.
